How does the Advanced Filtration System work?

Now you can operate your SS1200 or SS2400 Donut Machine in the open without the added expense of permanent ventilation hoods!

The downdraft system was designed for use in sites where odor control is required: malls, convention centers, retail stores, etc.. The system includes our built-in automatic fire suppression system. The entire system is self-contained and compactly mounted in a beautiful stainless steel cabinet.

Whether you choose the AFS-Series cabinet or the FSC-Series cart, you will have a proven profit maker. The main difference between these two carts is your choice of lighting system and their relative dimensions. Both of these attractive models include our patented downdraft filtration and fire suppression systems.

Close-up view shows how the downdraft housing fits around the donut machine. You can hardly tell it's there, and when it's whisper quiet when it's running.

All of our downdraft systems include a comprehensive fire suppression system with a total of 5 discharge nozzles, three mounted directly over the donut fryer and two more hidden within the system. A manual pull station is also included for added safety.

How the system works:
Cooking odors are drawn into the intake manifold and pass through a galvanized baffle filter. Any excess oil is collected by the oil collector located at the bottom of the intake manifold. Next, the air passes through two special carbonized filter pads (filters 2 & 3), which remove any oil vapor and 30% of cooking odors. The next purification step is the final filter bed, where the air is passed through 4 stages of activated carbon pads. Finally, any trace odors are removed before being exhausted to the floor.

Features
• Easy to maintain - the system comes with enough replacement filter pads for 500 hours of operation!
• Cost effective - total maintenance costs is only pennies a day!
• Simple to operate - your donut machine plugs directly into the system, so operation is a breeze. The system monitors itself and will not turn on if there are any issues.
• Easily incorporated into existing fire safety systems - we use industry standard materials that any local fire safety company can arm or maintain.

Maintenance is incredibly simple and easy to access:
• Every 8-10 hours, lift out the baffle grease filter. Wash, dry and replace. Takes only minutes.

• Every 40 hours of operation, place a new carbonized pad on the bottom, remove and dispose of the top carbonized pad.

• Every 1,000 hours of operation, empty and refill the activated carbon in the final filter bed with our special granulated carbon.
